HOLLY AVILA is an artist, author & musician who has been writing & performing songs since the 1970s. From bars in Greenwich Village, NYC to the Philly Folk Festival mainstage, to the Baja Sand festival in Mexico; Holly Avila has independently toured around the continent with her original music in the bands, Wheels, NY Frets, The Juggernaut String Band, her world-fusion project Blue Planet as well as a solo artist. Her song writing has found its way to Hollywood (Kandyland 1988) & won her a songwriting competition with Global Rhythm Magazine in 2006. In 2011 Holly drove cross-country to Baja California, Mexico where she wrote and recorded her upcoming project West Coast Bound EP (featuring Cougar Estrada of Los Lobos on drums) due to be released in late 2018

Holly has also just published the first volume of her new book series entitled Blue Planet Blues: Hitchhiking the Psychedelic Matrix detailing her memoirs as a hippy, college dropout & fulltime artist during the free love '70s.
